Beech dowels
Beech dowels have incredible mechanical properties
Beech dowels are round, small, cylindrical rods made of beech, a hardwood known for its longevity, sturdiness, strength and resilience. Due to the fine grain yet fantastic mechanical properties, they are used in different industries. Depending on their planned implementation, they come in multiple shapes and sizes. When it comes to dowel rods, our company is flexible. We can offer them in diameters anywhere from 1 to 2.5 inches. Hovewer, If there is a need for smaller diameters, please contact us, as we can provide beech dovels under 1 inch in diameter and to the length of 60”(inches).
Because they are out of dense hardwood, they have a visually appealing uniformity in grain and colour. Dowels are known for their firmness, stability and strength, making them less prone to denting, splitting or wear. The wooden dowels are also dimensionally stable and resilient to warping, shrinking or swelling in humid environments.
Beech round rods offer several industrial applications. Most commonly, they are used for furniture making, carpentry and construction. Due to their properties, rods provide durable and robust joints. These are usually between the panels or beams that are often invisible.
Our beech wooden dowels are consistent and properly dried
Beech dowels are renowned for the pale, smooth wood that is remarkably versatile and flexible. The beech wood is the study and also incredibly adaptable, meaning it can be easily shaped, cut, sanded, turned, and customisable. That is crucial in businesses where preciseness and low tolerances are mandatory, and anywhere adhesives are applied.
Superb compressive and bending strength ensures the final products withstand any burdens and pressures over time. The density of the beech hardwood is 710 kg/m³. That means it provides a considerable toughness for load-bearing applications. Combined, they largely contribute to the power and longevity of the item.
Round rods offer the users impeccable stability, achieved through the uniform grain structure, minimising the risk of deformation or movement. Its even and smooth surface has an extraordinary ability to accept finishes and coatings and absorb paints, varnishes and stains.
When selecting beech dowels for the project, it is paramount to consider the quality of the wood. Ours is of the highest quality, supported by all the certificates we obtain, and is free from cracks, knots and other defects that would impact the quality of the final product. Wooden dowels we provide are properly dried to prevent splitting or warping and have a consistently smooth finish and dimension, which can impact the strength of the joints.
Why are our beech dowel roods the correct selection for you?
The beech dowels we provide comply with the highest standards as they are a product of sustainable management and development. Our company is aware of the environmental issues and tries to do as much as we can to minimise our carbon footprint. We work on 12 uniquely organised hectares of land.
In recent years, we wanted to ensure our production of dowel rods is environmentally friendly. That is why we invested in new technologies, modernising the production, and upgrading log-cutting and wood-drying capacities. We became self-sufficient in heat production and partially self-sufficient in electricity generation, the source of which is entirely wood residues.
Our production of beech wooden dowels is very organised, guaranteeing us easy access to different areas without interfering with the production process. We own two cutting plants and one of the largest and most modern saws in Europe with a diameter of 2000 mm and we also own multiple drying chambers. The cutting happens in one of the several indoor production halls with advanced technologies for wood cutting. Waste of wood and biomass in our production serves as an energy source.
