Planed blanks
Planed blanks guarantee uniformity and professional finish
Planed blanks are also known as four-side clear blanks (4 side clear blanks). The “four-sides clear” name suggests that all four surfaces of the wooden blank were processed to remove any imperfections, ensuring that the blank is of the highest quality. Processed and planned pieces of wood with unique attributes offer defect-free smooth surfaces, allowing further processing promptly. Those attributes are also critical regarding quality, reliability, durability, uniformity and precision.
Due to their consistent quality, planed wooden blanks are highly valued in the woodworking industry. They remarkably reduce labour and the time needed to prepare the wood for advanced processin. Carefully milled and planed pieces of wood on all four sides result in uniform dimensions and smooth finishes free of splits, knots or other defects. Blanks are designed from high-quality beech timber and are often used in applications where consistency in shape, size, surface and structural integrity are paramount.
There are different types of planned blanks, and they vary depending on dimensions and purpose. The latter is necessary as the pieces are selected and processed based on furniture making, tool making or decorative purposes. The planned wooden blanks can be used in numerous applications, including joinery, cabinetry, moulding, interior trim, flooring, woodturning and artisanal crafts. While serving as the foundation for multiple projects, they ensure polished professional finish, uniformity and exactitude.
